chapter 3: He saw a flight of dark steps...he followed them down and saw her a distance away. She was chained up on a rack. He could see that she was very frightened from the tears of sorrow and pain she was shedding as she struggled. He tried to run towards her,but he just went further and further away from her. Suddenly he awoke. It was only a dream,but it felt so real. He found himself in a dark alley. The door where he had came from was no where to be found. He knew that he had to find her. He got himself up and walked out from the alley. He realised that he was in a whole other world. A world full of weird creatures and beingings. He was at a busy market place. Selling things that he had never seen before. He saw a human at one of the stalls. He went up and asked him where he was. To his shock,the 'human' turned into a big scaly creature and roared at him. He fell to the ground and almost thought that the creature was going to harm him and all he could do was try to back away.
Then, he heard another voice..."Seth, are you scaring people again? Leave the boy alone!" He turned around and saw this girl. She helped him up and told him her name... "Hi,i'm Salina. Don't mind my brother. You are not from around here are you?" "My name is Kain. Where is this place?" "This is the great city of Ascroma..at least it was till that war tore this place apart." ...
Salina brought him around the city and told some things about the past of Ascroma. At night fall,she brought Kain to her house for dinner and let him stay over night. When she showed him to the guestroom, she asked, "By the way, you still have not told me what you are doing here." Kain replied, "I don't know how I got here...but I still have to find someone before i try to find a way to get back." "Who is this person you are looking for? Maybe I can help." "She's a friend of mine. Her name is lennette." "What? The keeper of the great crystal has finally returned?" To be continued...
